One of my favorite bloggers is Meg (her blog). I just recently happened upon her blog and have been hooked ever since. She writes with raw emotion and candor. In a recent post she used this beautiful quote that really hit me:
“This is the year I am failing. For the first time in my life. I am failing brilliantly and freely and nothing has ever been so exciting”
How absoulutely beautiful is that? And so true for so many of us either at present, in our past or something we have yet to experience.
I have come to the conclusion that if having things turn out the way I wanted them to is the measure of a successful life, then some would say I have been a failure. The important thing that I have come to realize, is to not be bitter over life’s disappointments… learn to let go of the past.
So… I will not be afraid to make more mistakes, to stumble and fall because as the saying goes “Most of the greatest rewards come from the things that scare you the most, maybe you’ll get everything you wish for, maybe you’ll get more than you ever could have imagined.” Who knows were life will take me? “The road is long and in the end the journey is the destination.”
